When to see an RD

A Registered Dietitian (RD) can help people of all ages and backgrounds with minor or severe nutritional concerns. Feel free to contact RD Services if you are wondering if an RD could be of assistance to you for your health and well-being. Noelle Martin RD and her colleagues offer nutritional consulting in a variety of areas. Please see the Nutrition Solutions section for a complete listing of the services available from RD Services. If your nutritional concern is not listed here, please contact RD Services for more details at 519-615-3438 or info@rdservices.ca.

Do I need a referral?

No, you can contact an RD and "self refer". You can also receive a referral through your family physician or another health professional.

What are my payment options?

Cheque or e-transfer. There is not OHIP coverage for Private Practice Dietitians; however, your insurance company or EAP program may provide full or partial coverage.

How often would I visit with the RD?

Everyone's needs are different. Once you have met with your dietitian at RD Services, she can map out a visit schedule with you. Your plan will be individualized based your needs, and your availability.

I have been on several diets, and none have worked - how will this be different?

Noelle Martin and her colleagues offer ideas, programs, and tools that are individualized for you. Your dietitian will not put you on a "diet". She will help you gain a healthier lifestyle that will allow you to be and feel healthier.

My 2 year old will only eat three foods this week and they are different from the three foods that he was willing to eat last week. I am worried that he will not grow properly. Can you help me?

Yes, a dietitian from RD Services would love to sit down with you and your child. This behavior is very common for this age group - it is called "Food Jags". Noelle or one of her colleagues can help you to understand your child's needs and offer you ideas, recipes and tools that your child may enjoy.

I am having trouble getting pregnant. Is there anything that you can offer me?

Everyone's body is different when it comes to fertility and child bearing. The dietitians at RD Services offer tools, resources, and menu planning that help to prepare a woman's body to conceive and carry a baby. If you have PCOS or Endometriosis, there are several dietary adjustments that you can make to help with your disease management.
